Access Control Specialist

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a Access Control Specialist for Full Time coverage on the 10am to 6pm shift at a Hanover, MD facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team with multiple opportunities for upward advancement supporting EW&C. The EW&C program delivers critical capabilities to counter current and future threats, enabling the next generation of warfighting capabilities from sensor to Soldier worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· 100% check of all visitor badges.

· Assist with processing of individuals into secured facilities.

· Conduct inspections to ensure prohibited items are not introduced into facilities.

· Secure areas as directed within the guidelines of the post orders or security regulations.

· Monitor access into and from the facility, by verifying personnel identification and ability to identify various government-issued badges

· Detecting and reporting violations.

· Other duties may be assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

· Excellent organizational, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.

· Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Must be prompt, attentive to details, courteous, and must maintain a professional appearance

· Must be able to report promptly and reliably for scheduled operations

· Must be capable of remaining alert and responsive throughout the assigned shift, and of alerting the Program Security Manager in the event of any suspicious activity.

Requirements

· Clearance: Active Secret Clearance

· Experience working in a secured facility

· Experience working in an environment that requires discretion

· Must successfully complete training access control and intrusion detection systems

Preferred experience/skills

· Experience with performing security within the military

· Active Top Secret Clearance

· Experience with monitoring access to a cleared facility

· Experience with performing routine inspections to ensure prohibited items are not being brought into secured facilities

Special Note

The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. This position requires 25% travel to Army and contractor locations within CONUS.

The salary range for this position is between $20 - $35 an hour

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $20-35/hr USD. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
