BASF/Chemetall, is the Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, and a leading supplier of applied surface treatments worldwide. At BASF/Chemetall, we develop and manufacture tailor-made technology and system solutions for applied surface technology. Our products protect metals from corrosion, facilitate forming and treatment, prepare parts optimally for the painting process and ensure excellent coating adhesion. Our technologies and products are used in a variety of industries and end markets such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum finishing and metal forming.
The chemical treatment of metal surfaces is BASF/Chemetall core competence. The focus of our worldwide activities is on the development and implementation of customized technology and system solutions for surface treatment.
BASF/Chemetall is looking for a Regional Marketing Manager - Coil & Cold Forming to drive commercial growth of the Coil and the Cold Forming industry segments; create and promote market strategies to fit regional needs.  This is a hybrid position based in New Providence, NJ.

Global Segment Strategy and Implementation
Develop, coordinate implementation and monitor progress of North American segment strategy incl. key activities and milestones in liaison with Sales, Marketing Communications, Technology and Supply Chain & Operations organization and global functions.
Conduct industry segment analyses and benchmarking.
Refine business set-up and sales channels for profitable growth.
Responsible for pricing strategy and its alignment with Head of Global Segments and (Global/Regional) Key Account Managers.
Define features, services and customer experience needed for product profitability and success.
Innovation and Product Portfolio
Define portfolio (products & services) needed for a seamless customer experience to ensure business profitability and success.
Own, manage and steer North American portfolio and innovation pipeline. Align with global activities.
Coordinate and facilitate North American product launches and identify new application and service needs within the industry.
Promote new products / technologies (internally & externally)
Marketing, Market Research, and Administrative
Inform countries about global marketing concepts, brand strategies, support.
Determine strategic customer events and company participation in trade shows and associations, organize and manage all aspects of it with the support of the sales organization.
Design and create marketing material and roll out to sales force and to customers.
Gather regional market intelligence for the industry like country insights, leads, industry trends and relay back to the organization.
Interact with key customers in liaison with Key Industry Sales and Field Sales to determine and achieve strategic segment goals.
Sales Management Support and Customer Facing Activities
Advise on strategic commercial investments, e.g. systems, tools, vendors.
Manage and drive approval of targeted products / product lines.
Interact with key customers to determine key goals and directives.
Be involved in the process of annual budget preparation (target setting and revision), project approvals, new product requests, offer approvals.
If you have...
Bachelors degree: Engineer, chemistry or Business Administration preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Coil and the Cold Forming industry and technical knowledge of surface treatments.
Strategic thinking skills, gather information, consider future challenges, using creativity, and continuous learnings.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional skills as well as organizational awareness.
Demonstrated creative market experience. (campaigns, branding strategies, social media, content marketing, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral communication skills.
Preferably experience with salesforce marketing cloud and social media.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
Multicultural (CA, US, MX and international) mindset is a must, multi-lingual a plus.
Flexibility and ability to travel up to 30% including overnight within US, CA, and MX.
Hybrid work schedule (minimum 3 days onsite at our New Providence, NJ office)

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $120,000-$150,000 USD. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
