What you will have an opportunity to do:

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY TheGolf CourseSuperintendentsmainpurpose is to lead by example; this positionisresponsible forall golf course maintenance operations.The Superintendent is accountable for employee safety, environmental stewardship,financial management, equipmentmaintenance,and all agronomic practices on the golf course;assistothers within the Company as needed or asrequested;adviseDirector of Golfand others on the Executive Teamregardingpolicy, operational strategies,purchasingprograms, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Plans,organizes,and directs the maintenanceofgreens,tees, fairways,rough, and water features. - Supervises the planting and cultural practices involved in growing turf grasses,trees,and ornamental plants. - Supervises the operation, repair and record keeping for all maintenance equipment. - Overseesthe golf cart repair, preventativemaintenanceand generalmaintenance. - Keepsaccuraterecords of annual maintenance activities and costs. - Preparesannual maintenance budget and agronomic planincludingcapital expense and equipmentrequests. - Implements soundpurchasingprocedures using preferred vendors when possible. - Manages an aggressive water usage tracking plan and irrigation systems and provides monthly reporting onretainingponds,wells,and other water source usage. - Providestimelycoding of invoices and other required documents. - Implements andcarriesout all policies, government regulations,acquiresproper licenses, and handlesenvironmental issues. - Provides technical, operational and safety training for employees to ensure staffareworking within OSHA, club safety,state,and federal guidelines for safe working conditions. - Maintain a teamatmospherewithin the maintenance department and with all other departments. - Oversees subordinates in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment. - Operates equipment and machinery. - Supervises andparticipatesin the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the Club\'s grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. - Holdsregularly scheduled staff meetings;Participatesin weekly golf coursemeetings with DOG. - Supervises and controls all maintenance expenses associated with Golf Course Operations, including payroll, supplies,chemicals,and fertilizers. - Holdsquarterly safety meetings and documentsagenda and attendees. - Attendsstaff meetingsand other meetings as necessary - Maintains records and completes required reporting.Ordersparts,supplies,and equipment as needed. - Recruits, supervises, andretainsgolf maintenance staff. Conducts employee performance evaluations and exercisescoachingsand disciplinary action. - Maintains a clean, organized,and safe maintenance facility. - Schedules maintenance practices around memberand guestplay
