The daily workflow will involve intricate compliance analysis, program subject matter expertise, and the advanced communication skills required when working with program agreement holders and stakeholders. As a Research Analyst, you will verify agreement compliance information, wage and job minimums of submitted materials, and communicate under strict statutorily timelines with stakeholders regarding the required materials. You will also respond to various @types of information requests, collect and manage statutorily required reporting information, and assist team members on other projects when necessary. The Economic Development team is flexible, meticulous and solution-oriented. You would be a great fit for this role if you are self-motivated, resourceful, and can deliver results as a sole contributor and as part of a team.Work Hours40 hours a week between the hours of 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Hours may change based on business needs; especially during legislative sessions. This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualificationsand#8226; Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Political Science or related field.and#8226; Three (3) years full-time experience working with complicated and/or technical programs including large amounts of data, auditing submitted data, reviewing compliancedocuments and maintaining electronic filing systemsPreferred Experience:and#8226; Post bachelorand#8217;s degree in Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Business Administration or related field.and#8226; Experience in analyzing government program compliance documents, coordinating multiple statutorily mandated deadlines, maintaining databases, advanced Microsoft Excel, and working independently.Substitutions:One (1) additional year of full-time minimum experience in handling a complicated and/or technical program may substitute for thirty (30 semester hours) of the required education with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).In this role you will:and#8226; Provide oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with statutory requirements by requesting, receiving, and processing documentation within mandated deadlines.and#8226; Maintain and evaluate documentation submitted by agreement holders to support program integrity and operational consistency.and#8226; Conduct annual job compliance reviews for the economic development program, assessing submitted documentation to verify alignment with job and wage minimums and recommending corrective actions when necessary.and#8226; Administer compliance redetermination requests, offering interpretation and support to agreement holders navigating program requirements.and#8226; Respond to open records requests and administrative hearings, applying program knowledge to ensure transparency and procedural accuracy.and#8226; Maintains economic development databases used to track project reporting, entering the data when it becomes available and verifying accuracy.and#8226; Reviews annual and biennial reports and works with program participants to update data and prepare documents to provide the most current information available.and#8226; Assists review of economic development amendments when required.and#8226; Assists other economic development sections as needed.and#8226; Performs other duties as assigned.Maximize Your Earnings!At the Comptroller's office, we know potential employees are looking for more than just a paycheck.
