The maximum salary range is reserved for candidates that far exceed the required and preferred qualifications for the role.This is a 10-day posting, which will close on November 11, 2025 at 11:59pm.Position Overview: The Division of School Improvement supports low-performing campuses statewide in implementing research-based strategies and interventions to improve outcomes for thousands of students statewide.The Campus Support Specialist (CSS) is a critical and highly field-facing role within the division providing high impact campus leadership coaching and support. The CSS will support campus leaders and District Coordinators for School Improvement (DCSIs) in formulating and implementing high-quality Targeted Improvement and Turnaround Plans in alignment with Effective Schools Framework diagnostic results, with a strong focus on implementing high-quality instructional materials and instructional leadership and coaching strategies on campuses.The core part of the CSS role is conducting strong, support-oriented campus observations/walkthroughs and tracking fidelity of implementation of campus strategies, followed by coaching sessions with campus leaders and coordinators to enhance implementation. Additionally, the CSS will collaborate closely with regional service center and vendor partners providing technical assistance, offering feedback and ensuring mutual actions align, while effectively navigating any issues concerning campus support. As such, this role entails an interest in leveraging research-based curriculum and instruction expertise to coach and support campuses, as well as an ability to manage relationships and multiple parties effectively.The CSS will be on a team of multiple CSSand#8217;s reporting up to a Campus Support Team Director, and will often collaborate across the division, department, and cross-agency to move forward outcomes for their supported campuses.Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates. High Impact Plan Development: Support campuses in high quality Targeted Improvement Plan and Turnaround Plan development, in alignment with ESF diagnostic results, prioritizing high quality instructional material and instructional leadership strategies for vast majority of campuses, and anchored in aligned research-based metrics for fidelity of implementation of the chosen strategies.2. Fidelity of Implementation Observation and Tracking: Conduct campus observations, collect campus-reported and ESC/vendor-reported milestone data and artifacts to gauge fidelity of implementation of high impact strategies; aggregate key trends to share back with internal agency program teams developing content and training and vetting vendors (e.g., internal agency teams leading curriculum and instructional program support statewide).3. Fidelity of Implementation Coaching: Facilitate coaching and performance management calls/touchpoints with campus leaders and District Coordinators of School Improvement toward stronger fidelity of implementation (e.g., sharing observed lack of key support structures like sufficient curriculum internalization time and support for teachers and supporting team to develop action steps).4. ESC/Vendor Feedback and Issue Navigation: Partner with ESC/vendor partners to enhance support in response to fidelity of implementation needs; track ESC/vendor partner execution of aligned-on actions; provide direct feedback to ESC/vendor partners and navigate issues with campus support.
