Communicates summaries and recommendations with written memorandums and conducts meetings between an applicantand#8217;s management and personnel, as well as DOB personnel. Works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Job Duties:and#8226;Develops and maintains working knowledge and application of various reference materials including the Texas Finance Code, Texas Business Organizations Code, departmental memorandums and procedures and federal banking laws and policy statements.and#8226;Reviews non-complex bank, trust and Money Service Businesses (MSB) filings.and#8226;May assist in the on-site examination of state-chartered banks or investigation of chartered or conversion applications by following approved Department policies and procedures.and#8226;Reviews and analyzes bank, trust and MSB records to determine the institutionand#8217;s financial condition and compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, supervisory guidelines, and internal policies and procedures.and#8226;Communicates findings to the applicants, Board of Directors and their representatives through oral presentations, and prepares written summaries and recommendations as prescribed by Department guidelines in a thorough and timely manner.and#8226;Conducts financial analysis and reviews of projections and proposals for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.and#8226;Attends and successfully completes assigned schools and training seminars.and#8226;Prepares working papers to document procedures and to support findings in accordance with established procedures.and#8226;Performs investigative, analytical and administrative duties as assigned.and#8226;Performs related work as assigned.
Qualifications: Required Minimum Qualification:Experience and Education Requirements:and#8226;Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or job-related field with a minimum of six hours, nine preferred, in accounting to include basic and/or intermediate accounting.Copy of official college transcripts must be submitted with The State of Texas Application for Employment.and#8195;Preferred Qualifications:and#8226;Experience with a state or federal agency that actively regulates and supervises in the financial industry (i.e., banks, thrifts, credit unions, insurance companies, MSBs, brokerage companies, mutual fund, equity investment companies).and#8226;Employment experience in a bank, thrift, or credit union with responsibilities associated with investments; asset/liability management; credit administration; audit; operations, etc.and#8226;Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.Special Requirements:and#8226;Position requires at least 20 % overnight travel.and#8226;Must possess or obtain within 90 days a valid Texas Driverand#8217;s license. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving any vehicle toconduct agency business.
