Description

Amanda Warren with Robert Half is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Yuba City, California. This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals with accounting experience who are eager to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking organization. The position involves managing financial records, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Maintain and update financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts.

Process payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments.

Prepare and manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.

Assist with month-end closing activities, reconciling accounts and preparing necessary reports.

Support HR-related administrative filings and maintain organized documentation.

Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to perform financial analyses and reporting.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.

Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

Provide support for audits and internal financial reviews as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for managing financial data.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.

Experience with payroll systems, such as ADP, is required.

Familiarity with sales tax regulations and filing procedures.

Ability to perform month-end close tasks and reconcile accounts accurately.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for maintaining financial records.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and meet deadlines.
