Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Northbrook, Illinois. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial management and accounting practices. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.

Oversee general ledger operations, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.

Prepare and post journal entries, adhering to accounting principles and company policies.

Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.

Handle bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.

Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and provide necessary documentation.

Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with established procedures.

Assist in analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address accounting-related queries.

Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a senior capacity.

Expertise in managing month-end close processes.

Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries.

Proven ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately.

Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations.

Proficiency in financial management software and tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
