Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract to permanent position ideal for someone with strong expertise in corporate tax and financial accounting processes. The role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the organization's financial accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Analyze and reconcile sales tax accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

Process journal entries and update the general ledger to support accurate reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to review and validate financial data for tax reporting purposes.

Utilize SAP software to manage and track accounting transactions efficiently.

Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.

Assist in developing and improving accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Provide insights and recommendations on tax-related matters to optimize financial performance.

Maintain organized documentation for all tax filings and accounting activities.

Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax and financial accounting.

Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in preparing and analyzing corporate tax returns.

Expertise in processing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

Familiarity with SAP software for accounting and financial management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
