Position: Victim Assistance Specialist Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $34,340.80 -- $44,638.20 annually Department: Prosecutor Location: Lancaster, OH 43130

Description The Fairfield County Prosecutor's Office is seeking motivated, qualified applicants for a full-time Victim Assistance Specialist position. Primary duties for the position include providing support, information, and referrals to crime victims. The position requires the ability to empathize with crime victims (and their families) and a commitment to helping them seek justice and healing through the criminal justice system. The ideal applicant will have heart for serving their community and fellow citizens, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The mission of the Fairfield County Prosecutor's Office is to serve the citizens of Fairfield County by pursuing justice, protecting the public against criminal activity, and providing timely and competent legal services to clients. Successful candidates will further that mission by demonstrating professionalism, a positive attitude, and exemplary work ethic. The position requires effective communication skills, the ability to work efficiently and independently, and a strong commitment to public service. Candidates must follow all office policies and procedures and must be comfortable in a fast-paced, team environment.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to analyze, process, and safeguard sensitive records (e.g., police, medical, and legal records) Commitment to public service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, professional work environment Proficient with technology (familiarity with MATRIX software a plus) Ability to empathize with crime victims and their families
