As a Manufacturing Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to corporate operational goals and objectives to enhance People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost, in both new and existing product support. You will also assist with set-up and fixture requirements for alternate methods of production of goods, identify, assist and/or lead implementation of areas for improvement. This is a 1st shift opportunity from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.
You Will:
Production Support
Address shop floor requests (suggestions, quality issues, scheduling)
Provide CNC programming / nesting for production support
Assist in training new employees
Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Supervisors to focus on achieving daily PQVC goals
Assist Quality in generating and processing of First Article Inspection Reports as needed
Generate and revise operational method sheets for production
Assist in processing Engineering Change Notices, Programming changes, routings, OMS sheets, Standard Work etc.
Other related duties and projects as requested
CI Support
Participate, assist, and lead safety initiatives, such as Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Safety Audits.
Participate, assist, and lead kaizen/Kata to drive system and process improvement
Determine root cause and corrective actions for production issues, such as Safety Concerns, Quality Concerns, and Productivity issues.
Proficiently apply and train practical, team-based problem-solving methodology
Create and utilize Standard Work as a basis for structured and organized daily routines
Facilitate the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; foster positive culture change
Support cooperation, teamwork, and positive working relationships across all functional areas
Document, and identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes
Conduct Gap Analysis and accurately communicate benefits of proposed or completed projects.
Continuously develop skills and abilities in line with organizational goals
You Have:
An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and tooling, and/or CNC programming
Experience working with Microsoft Office
Experience with AutoCAD/CAM, ProE, Virtual Gibbs or similar programs
ISO knowledge or similar quality systems
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exhibit and develop a high level of critical thinking skills
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally
Knowledge and ability to train others in waste identification
Proficiency with computer systems such as Office 365 and ERP Systems
Experience with Timer Pro a Plus, as it can be used to redesign production areas/lines along with designing and entirely new line as part of NPD
Basic understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

The employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally required to stand; use hands/fingers to push, handle, feel, @type and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low - moderate.
