Position Overview
International has an exciting new opportunity for a Co-Op Sales Manager in Lisle!
The Co-Op Sales Manager serves as primary contact for and oversees used truck sales business to maximize unit sales, revenue, and gross profit for 5 to 10 International Dealer Partner Co-Op Retail locations. The co-Op sales inventory consists predominately of Class 8 tractors, sleepers and day cabs, and class 6 trucks with van bodies, from national accounts, dealer trades, off lease and repossessions.
The Co-Op Sales Manager collaborates with the Dealer's Used Truck Manager/General Manager along with the Service Manager to attain assigned sales objectives and complete any reconditioning in a timely and efficient manner.
This position is remote and requires travel within a 200-mile radius.
Responsibilities
Establishes, builds and?maintains positive, productive relationships with Used Truck Managers, General Managers, Service managers and customers.
Manages and resolves complex customer concerns.
Tracks and closes deals, advertises inventory, controls inventory, creates sales specials, appraises vehicles, acquires vehicles, and reconditions vehicles.
Actively negotiates with dealers in all aspects of a truck deal for large volume purchases.
Attains or exceeds monthly and annual unit sales, revenue, and gross profit goals.
Develops and updates sales near term (1 year) forecasts and participates in higher level strategic and tactical planning.
Provides marketplace pricing feedback to the Regional Sales Director to assist in measuring, establishing, and changing retail pricing.
Leads change initiatives and ensures adoption of new products, processes, systems, and programs in their area of responsibility.
Creates and gives presentations on regular sales progress, metrics, market assessment data, and opportunities to improve sales performance.
Identifies improvement opportunities and recommendations, implements solutions, and measures results.
Successfully navigates cross functional relationships.
Ensures completion of all assigned and applicable training.
Arranges transportation of used trucks to customer delivery locations.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in or leading projects as needed.
Protects International's reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
OR
Master's degree
At least 3 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
OR
At least 7 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, finance or joint venture experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
Minimum of 2 years of truck and/or heavy equipment sales experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing a team.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of?medium and heavy-duty vehicles and the used/aftermarket parts industry.
Prior experience with establishing, building and sustaining positive relationships with Dealers and customers.
Assess and evaluate market data and trends, develops a strategy, and uses metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy.
Ability to evaluate financial details.
Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management and other functions, with various @types of personalities, with professionalism and respect.?
Excellent conflict management and influencing skills.
Detail orientated and highly organized.
Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, able to innovate and implement creative solutions to drive desired results.
