Position Purpose:

The Branch Processor will process Retail Business Banking transactions, focusing on the critical function of deposit verification and change order preparation. Demonstrates Civista Bank's mission to improve the financial lives of our employees and shareholders to make a difference in the communities that we serve.

Description of Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Process courier drop offs, by logging bags, counting the deposit and making the necessary required teller entries.

Resolve internal and external customer inquiries and issues in a prompt, efficient and accurate manner with a focus on creative problem solving and using sound judgement to best serve the financial well-being of the customer as well as Civista.

Provide personable and professional interactions with Retail Business Banking customers using proper phone etiquette.

Use sound judgment in handling customer problems/issues.

Receives and processes customer financial transactions, including deposits, captures images and balances cash drawer and daily transactions.

Record all deposits brought to the processing room by the third party vendor.

Effectively operate, load and trouble-shoot error messages for branch equipment.

Support Processing Supervisor with dual vault and ATM balancing as well as meet expectations in their absence.

Maintain a high level of communication and follow-up with internal and external customers.

All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

At least one year of previous banking experience.

High School diploma/GED

Above average ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.

Good knowledge of computers and ability to master the specific software required for the position, based on the particular branch location and equipment.

Detail-oriented and organized

Knowledge of and ability to follow policies and procedures related to position

Physical Requirements:

Work involves eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens and reading of reports.

Work involves standing the majority of the work day.

Work involves being able to concentrate on the matter at hand, under sometimes distracting work conditions

Work involves lifting and moving items up to 20 lbs.

Potential hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery attempts.

Work involves being flexible regarding hours of work, i.e., overtime, filling in at other office locations, attending required training/meetings, staffing shortages, vacation coverage, and so forth.
