Overview

The IT Systems Center engineers are able to design, implement, and monitor information technology systems at a data center. This person must be familiar with a variety of IT hardware, such as servers, cables, power systems, and cooling equipment needed to maintain the physical safety of an IT facility.

Responsibilities

Design and manage information/network systems Setup and operate common Linux and Windows OS servers Perform quality assurance testing Identify and resolve recurring issues Identify reliability risks Schedule and track hardware maintenance Update port maps and rack layouts Create operational procedures Provide technical support Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience working with IT systems Linux and Windows OS system administration experience Network and power capacity planning experience A solid understanding of network and data cabling Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work both independently and with others Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer application Preferred Experience Prior experience particularly in the data center industry Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, or electrical engineering Working Conditions Data Center environment Pay Transparency TierPoint is committed to practices that promote pay equity and transparency. We provide a compensation range for roles that may be hired in locations with pay transparency law requirements. It's important to note the pay range may be narrower than displayed, as various factors are used to determine the offered compensation package including skill set, level of experience, geographic locations, and other relevant factors- i.e. budgetary requirements. Pay Range $60,000.00- $97,778.29
