Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the full-time classification of Marketing and Communications Assistant (Full-Time) in the Department of Communications. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs various marketing and communications related tasks in support of one or more functional areas of the Department of Communications; provides administrative and customer service assistance to City employees and the public; and performs related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
A successful candidate in this position is proactive and detail-oriented, supporting the marketing team through a blend of administrative duties, project coordination and creative input. This role involves assisting in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns, conducting market research and creating compelling marketing materials. Strong copywriting, communication and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or the equivalent
Six (6) months experience in public relations, social media, marketing, journalism, communications, or a closely related field
Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license as defined by NRS 483
