Job#: 2078495Job Description:Job Title: Penetration TesterLocation: RemoteJob Type: Contract (with potential for extension or full-time conversion)About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Penetration Tester to lead security testing initiatives across our E&T solution portfolio, with a particular focus on our Grants Management practice. This role plays a critical part in ensuring secure, high-quality software releases by promoting a shift-left approach to application and network security.Key Responsibilities:Conduct manual penetration testing on:APIs (REST/SOAP)Web applicationsMobile applicationsThick client applicationsPerform threat modeling, application architecture reviews, and evaluate business logic.Communicate testing processes, techniques, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Guide remediation efforts and support teams in evaluating security solutions.Collaborate with Cyber teams to:Develop new testing methodologiesAutomate testing processesCreate marketing collateralMentor junior and offshore team membersDemonstrate real-time proof-of-concept (POC) exploits and testing techniques.Required Qualifications:Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in application penetration testing (APIs, web, or mobile).Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and lead remediation discussions.Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite Pro, Netsparker, and Checkmarx.Demonstrated ability to perform live demos and exploit POCs.Preferred Certifications (Not Required):GWAPTCRESTOSWEOSWAEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
