Duties Description Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Implementing and supporting modules such as Software Asset Management Pro, Hardware Asset Management Pro, and Service Mapping. - Meeting with IT teams to gather requirements, - Developing and maintaining UI forms and workflows, - Integrating APIs, - Creating scripts for automating routine tasks.

Minimum Qualifications - Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR- One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Technology Specialist 2; OR, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR- Bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR- Bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field AND one year of experience in information technology; OR- 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science AND one year of experience in information technology; OR- Two years of experience in information technology.

For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
