As a Security Professional - Aero Front Desk Patrol in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more.
As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve monitoring access, verifying credentials, and maintaining a professional presence at the front desk. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and managing visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Communicate with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to employees, contractors, and visitors.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activity, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Support security-related operations by answering phones, directing inquiries, and providing information as required.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
