Job Title: Electrical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians for our 2nd shift team. This role involves interpreting and understanding electrical schematics, assembling electrical components, and supporting the mechanical assembly of power generation products. You will be working with voltages ranging from 110 to 480 volts.

Responsibilities

Interpret and understand electrical schematics including component and symbol recognition to complete electrical assembly.

Assemble components including electrical wiring, junction boxes, line connections, stop buttons, push buttons, safety switches, outlets, electrical motors, variable frequency drives, PLCs, and electrical sub-assemblies.

Run and pull wire within enclosures the size of a trailer home.

Utilize power and hand tools such as impact drills, tape measures, and levels.

Communicate daily with multiple departments including Assembly, Maintenance, Materials, Purchasing, and Engineering to identify root causes, resolve challenges, and prevent future occurrences.

Lift up to 40 pounds throughout the day.

Essential Skills

5 years of experience reading blueprints and running and pulling wire.

Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and schematic interpretation.

Experience with electrical assembly, construction, hand tools, and power tools.

Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, voltage regulation, and industrial termination testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with terminations, rough-in, and DLO (Diesel Locomotive) cable prep and terminations.

Ability to work with voltages up to 480 volts.

Work Environment

Work on the 2nd shift from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday required. Sundays offer double time, and overtime is paid at 1.5 times after 40 hours. The facility is state-of-the-art with large bay doors for easy access to enclosures. Although not climate-controlled, the plant maintains a comfortable environment. Safety gear, including steel toes, eye protection, and hearing protection, is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
