Position Summary :
The Finance Manager - Working Capital and Sustainability oversees and optimizes the company's working capital performance, focusing on cash flow, liquidity, and operational efficiency. This role drives financial control across key components-accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory-ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives. Additionally, this position serves as a financial co-pilot for NHSc sustainability initiatives, supporting the organization's commitments. By transforming financial and operational data into actionable insights, the Finance Manager plays a critical role in guiding business decisions, enhancing working capital, and advancing sustainability efforts.
This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey/Tri-State area, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens,Florida and/or within the Long Island, New York areas.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze working capital performance metrics, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding), and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding)
Develop and enforce policies and reporting processes to optimize working capital components
Collaborates with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Operations to align financial goals with operational practices
Supports the close process through detailed analysis and reconciliation of working capital accounts (AR, AP, Inventory)
Identify risks and opportunities in cash flow and working capital, recommending strategies for improvement
Lead forecasting and planning for working capital to support corporate cash flow and treasury activities
Drive system and process improvements across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory workflows
Collaborate with Sustainability, CTAG (Category Technical Applications Group), Finance, and other stakeholders to develop and validate EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) reporting
Evaluate new projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with sustainability goals while maximizing value
Work with project managers to track planned and actual costs for sustainability projects using the Service Now system
Provides financial analysis and insights for ongoing and upcoming sustainability projects in the current year's Dynamic Forecast
Delivers insights and reporting to divisional and corporate stakeholders through dashboards, presentations, and analytics
Supports internal and external reporting and audit requests related to sustainability
Assists with internal and external audits of working capital accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Conducts ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives or business cases impacting working capital or sustainability
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
5+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial reporting tools
Familiarity with working capital management in a manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment is a plus
Skills:
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a keen attention to detail
Solid understanding of the financial impact of operational activities on working capital
Effective communicator, able to convey financial insights to cross-functional stakeholders
Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively
Strong organizational skills and a sense of ownership over results
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or projects
The approximate pay range for this position is $115,000- $140,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
