We also operate Northern Shores Coffee Shop, two dining kiosks, and a full-service restaurant, along with catering services for campus events. Dining Services focuses on providing diverse food options, sustainability efforts, and quality service to the campus community. Job Duties Custodial Work: Floor Cleaning in all Dining Services areas including commercial kitchen settings Scrub and sanitize restrooms, shower rooms and locker areas, using approved cleaning agents and procedures. Collect and empty trash and pick up recycling and transport to the proper pick up site. Keep trash containers clean. Setting up and moving furniture for university functions Observe deficiencies in building hardware, doors, windows, fixtures, etc., and write maintenance requests for repair. Know and follow safety procedures and policies in everyday work. Use protective equipment. Monitor radio/telephone or pager and respond to trouble calls. Dining Services retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position to assist in all areas of Dining Operations based on business needs. This is a 10-month position. Qualifications Required Qualifications Read, write, understand, and communicate in English Must be able to stand up for 8-10 hours at a time Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Preferred Skills 2 years of experience in in related field Excellent customer service skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $21.63 - $25.63 per hour, depending on education/qualifications/experience Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.) This is a 10-month position.
