Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Director who will be primarily responsible for managing Sales and Business development across a grouping of labs on the West coast. This is a key role in our Aerospace and Energy business unit that will lead and drive growth initiatives across non-destructive and destructive testing along with leading an enterprise selling mindset.

Responsibilities

Work seamlessly with Customers, VP of Sales, Division Directors, General Managers, Lab Managers, account owners, and Marketing team on all aspects of selling as required

Develop, maintain and evolve laboratory sales plans aligned to budget attainment

Drive adherence to the mandatory usage of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Develop and execute sales strategy

Lead quotation reviews and drive robust opportunity management

Lead contract management activities and ensure alignment with risk management / DoA

Conduct monthly Account reviews Works alongside General Manager / Division Directors in target setting; new and existing account development, tendering and forecast development

Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts

Identify opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure maximum share of wallet for Element

Work alongside peers in other sectors and territories to develop and nurture a One Element approach

Skills / Qualifications

Minimum 10 year sales or supply chain experience in laboratory or aerospace / space / defense business

Preferred Supply Chain or Sales Management experience, leading a team of professionals

Preferred degree in engineering or MBA Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills

Possess exceptional communication skills

Strong background with presentations and Microsoft Powerpoint

Must be able to travel 50%#LI-SL1
