As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
