Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team, focusing on the manufacturing and process side of our operations. This hands-on role involves failure analysis, troubleshooting, updating procedures, and working design changes through manufacturing processes. You will also engage in the documentation process and design-focused tasks using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot issues within the manufacturing process.

Update procedures and work through design changes in manufacturing.

Follow and maintain documentation standards.

Design and implement changes using SolidWorks, focusing on mechanical aspects.

Lead the development of technical data packages for new and existing designs.

Collaborate with a cross-functional design team to ensure successful first article, test, integration, and delivery to manufacturing.

Research, develop, design, and test verified design solutions.

Provide support to both engineering and manufacturing during all design phases.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Experience in new product development and mechanical design.

Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).

Ability to use Enterprise PDM (EPDM) in support of 3D modeling tools.

5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience with a PhD.

Experience with marine product manufacturing and design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Familiarity with mechanical engineering standards.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Pocasset, MA. You will be working within a cross-functional team, focusing on system and subsystem designs for both military and commercially available oceanography products. The work environment encourages collaboration and innovation, providing opportunities to contribute to autonomous systems integration.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pocasset, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.50 - $60.00/hr.
