With more than 600 products in its portfolio, in particular amines, diols, polyalcohols, acids and specialties, the Intermediates division offers innovative solutions for a wide range of industries - from coatings and plastics to pharmaceuticals and crop protection.
We are seeking a professional like you to manage all aspects of planning and inventory management focused on own manufactured products and the required domestic / imported raw materials and supplies for the Freeport Polyalcohol Plants. You will ensure product availability based on demand and inventory targets, interacting closely with the Commercial side of the business to provide product availability status against specific customer demand. You will also have direct responsibility for reconciling finished goods and raw material inventories for the plant to accurately execute monthly financial closing.

Analyzing and planning production requirements through your understanding of operational capabilities, known demand, and inventory targets.
Collaborating with Customer Care, Operations/Technology, Marketing, Quality/Regulatory, Global Supply Chain, and 3rd party logistics/tolling operations to monitor orders, stock status, and SAP exceptions, ensuring that products are available to support customer requirements.
Scheduling production and order and managing inventory of all Raw Materials(RM) to ensure that the production plan is met. Including procuring and monitoring bulk and packaged inventory levels, providing demand forecasts to BASF procurement and internal and 3rd party suppliers.
Coordinating receipt and off-loading of RM's with suppliers and site logistics operations, and perform reconciliations of RMs and Finished Goods in leading the month-end closing process for the two Polyalcohol Plants
Managing production and raw material data in SAP R3 and OMP planning software, querying/database/spreadsheet applications.
Owning all facets of the order fulfillment process and proactively ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will analyze trends in key metrics to identify and execute opportunities to improve supply chain and operations efficiencies.
Facilitating and running a weekly production call which includes Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial Teams. Keeping Operations and Technical functions informed of inventory levels and points of interest / concern looking forward.
Being a key participant in the Sales & Operations Planning process representing Plant supply chain planning and support the monthly S&OP meeting through data development, review and presentation.
Ensuring that rework is processed in a timely and accurate manner, executing month-end closing, establishing and extending Articles for new materials, maintaining Process Orders and Batches for planned production, and issuing near term production/packaging plans as guidance to the Plant.
If you...
Hold a Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related discipline.
Possess 5+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
Are able to work successfully engaging with different crossed collaboration teams.
Have a robust knowledge of material planning processes, including Material Requirements and Planning (MRP).
Possess a solid technical skillset working with SAP R3 and OMP planning software
Have outstanding communication skills and an entrepreneurial mind set.
