Job Title: Performance Marketing Specialist

Reports To: Director, Digital Marketing

Position Location: Vernon Hills, IL

FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Exempt

Position Summary:

The Performance Marketing Specialist will be responsible for promoting the business brand, products, and services through paid media and organic search strategies. The individual will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and optimization of our paid media and search programs, driving revenue, awareness, traffic, and engagement. A successful candidate will have the ability to create engaging content, have a keen eye for detail, and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns across various platforms such as Google, Bing, Amazon Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.

Support revenue growth by driving organic traffic and conversions across multiple company websites for desktop and mobile users.

Plan and execute a blog content strategy by developing content briefs, coordinating with agencies and internal stakeholders, and deploying posts.

Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-performing keywords and phrases for campaign targeting.

Determine appropriate keyword targets for on-page elements including page titles, meta descriptions, page headings and HTML heading structure, alt-img tags, etc.

Execute link-building initiatives by identifying potential link targets and conducting outreach.

Implement A/B testing methodologies to optimize ad creatives, targeting parameters, and other campaign elements.

Utilize analytics tools to monitor marketing performance (KPIs), extract meaningful insights, identify areas for improvement, prepare regular reports, and support budget management.

Ensure all content is in line with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.

Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates to ensure campaigns are innovative and effective.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree from accredited higher learning institution in marketing, science, or related area

Experience:

3+ years marketing experience in PPC, paid media, or SEO.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of, or actual working experience in life sciences, laboratory or process/industrial products preferred

Familiarity with paid media and organic search platforms (including Google, Bing, SEMRush, Amazon Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google Analytics)

Proven experience working with content creation teams, social marketers, and link builders to produce successful content leading to quantitative results and community/engagement enhancement

Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and demonstrate the capacity to make appropriate decisions independently.

Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of search content and campaigns.

Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other essential time constraints.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate to all levels of the organization clearly and concisely.

Ability to function in a sophisticated, matrix business environment.

Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
