We have partnered with a long-standing St. Cloud/Sartell area law firm to find a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their team. This role involves providing essential administrative support for personal injury cases, ensuring smooth operations and efficient handling of legal tasks. The firm is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their team, focusing on client medical treatment and the coordination of benefits. If you are detail-oriented, are proficient in Microsoft excel, and have (some) experience in civil litigation, we encourage you to apply. While prior legal experience is highly preferred, it is not a requirement as the firm is committed to providing on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

Tracking client medical treatment, expenses, and related records.

Coordinating insurance benefits and managing subrogation interests.

Providing administrative support to one or more attorneys.

Maintaining and organizing client files while adhering to data privacy requirements.

Preparing, indexing, and formatting legal documents, reports, and other litigation materials.

Formatting speech recognition dictation.

Performing receptionist and clerical duties, including: Greeting visitors and answering incoming phone calls; Interacting with clients and managing physical/mail and email sorting/entry.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous assistant or clerical experience is required (law firm experience or internships highly preferred).

Experience in medical billing and/or insurance compliance highly preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is most important) is required.

Familiarity with legal document preparation and terminology.

Ability to learn and adapt to industry-specific software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
