Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and vendor communications with accuracy and professionalism. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of the finance department while ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.

Responsibilities:

Review invoices to verify proper documentation and obtain necessary approvals before processing.

Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system promptly and accurately.

Process invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and credit card statements in a timely manner.

Maintain organized records of invoices, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices.

Perform reconciliations of vendor statements to ensure account accuracy.

Generate periodic accounts payable reports for internal use.

Respond to inquiries from vendors and department staff regarding payment status or other issues.

Collaborate with the Health Department's finance team to support various financial tasks.

Salary Range-$37,588 - $46,986

Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs.

Experience with accounting software and data entry.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal staff.

Ability to research and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.

Familiarity with reconciling vendor statements.

Organizational skills to manage files and documentation.

Prior experience in similar accounting or finance roles is preferred.
