Your Day to Day as an NDT Development Engineer:
Investigates new technologies and methods of manufacture/inspections for potential application to production processes.
Proposes new work to expand inspection/process capabilities.
Interacts with customers to promote good working relationships and understanding of customer requirements.
Develops and maintains inspection/process capabilities.
Works with customers to investigate and acquire new technologies which can expand current inspections.
Leads collaborative efforts between customer, suppliers, cross-department, and divisions.
Plans and manages multiple development projects by preparing instructions, drawings, and routing documents.
Prepares customer submittals to communicate detailed information and plans for new systems or systems upgrades.
Authors reports documenting process/material testing and well-engineered solutions to problems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor degree in an Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering discipline is required.
5+ Years of industry experience.
MS Office Experience is Required.
Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a part of a collaborative team.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities is required.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and work ethic.
Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Programming experience (C++, LabVIEW, Python, .NET, Visual Basic, SQL, Fortran, etc.) is preferred.
Electronic/electrical experience and instrumentation troubleshooting experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in NDT Systems.

Pay: $ 76,000 - $ 116,000
The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000 and $116,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
