Qualifications

High School Diploma required. Associate's degree in Office Administration or related field, or technical college certificate preferred.

Organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy are also required. Skills in: typing, spreadsheet, database, and computerized accounting. Good knowledge of business English, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to carry out oral and written directions; make routine decisions; communicate effectively; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; prepare correspondence with minimum direction. Ability to continuously seek quality service and process improvements in order to support the college's mission and strategic vision is required.

Job Summary

Directs students and visitors to proper locations. Performs a variety of technical level duties in providing front line services and general information to students and the general public in the areas of admissions, registration, enrollment, Financial Aid, job placement/career services, and assessment. This position communicates building needs with government agencies, maintenance, and supervisor and oversees physical facilities for all of Brigham City Campus.

Essential Duties: This position requires extensive hands-on interaction with faculty, staff, and students. As a result, this position requires physical presence to complete the essential duties found below.

General:

Ensure a positive image of the college.

Organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks.

Answer telephone and direct all incoming calls.

Welcome and attend to all visitors including couriers and deliveries and ensure they are directed to the correct department.

Attends to clerical detail utilizing initiative, problem solving techniques, and maintain confidentiality.

Operates office equipment, such as photocopier, fax machine, and computer and orders all supplies for equipment.

Registering and scheduling students.

Provide a high level of customer service to new and continuing students, including developing and maintaining student files, documentation, and related correspondence.

Maintain integrity of student records using information contained in the Student Information System (SIS) to provide reports and other documents to instructors and staff for recruitment and retention.

Process a variety of technical paperwork in assigned functional area: verify completeness and accuracy of submitted information.

Obtain merchandise requested by customers for Bookstore.

Approve and track student leave of absences.

Oversee and authorize customer returns, exchanges, merchandise credits, check authorization charges, and employees' sales; assure completion of all point of sale (POS) transactions and the proper control of all cash and media at the POS register according to Bookstore policies and procedures.

Process payments, bank deposits, and make change.

Schedule and maintain BTECH fleet vehicles for employees to use.

Point of contact for safety, doors, and locks.

Perform other duties as assigned.
