Qualifications

High school diploma required. Associates degree in Office Administration or related field, or technical college certificate preferred. Organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy are also required. Intermediate skills in accounting, typing, presentations, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and computerized accounting. Good knowledge of business English, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to carry out oral and written directions; make routine decisions; communicate effectively; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; and prepare correspondence with minimum direction. Ability to continuously seek quality service and process improvements to support the college's mission and strategic vision is required.

Job Summary

Provides clerical support to Business & Innovation departments; assists clients with needs within the building; and directs visitors to proper locations.

Essential Duties: This position requires extensive hands-on interaction with faculty, staff, and clients. As a result, this position requires physical presence to complete the essential duties found below.

General:

Provide front desk reception, including answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, and giving building tours.

Promote a positive and professional image of the college to internal and external stakeholders.

Organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule and support events, classes, and trainings, including room setup, catering coordination, rosters, and cleanup.

Troubleshoot basic technology issues for trainers and staff during class setup.

Process and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments.

Perform general clerical tasks such as scanning, data entry, and document preparation.

Gather, verify, and maintain records, and files--review for accuracy and proper classification.

Create and format presentations, spreadsheets, and other materials using various software programs.

Submit building maintenance work orders and monitor completion.

Ensure ADA compliance with training materials in collaboration with departments and trainers.

Order and maintain supplies for multiple departments.

Answer routine questions about the building and its departments.

Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's operations.
