Freedom Mortgage Moorestown, New Jersey, United States of America Marketing & Communications Full time Remote Summary:The Freedom Mortgage Internship Program is a program that provides a unique opportunity for college students to gain hands on experience in a corporate setting within the mortgage industry while applying the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to help advance their skill set and grow professionally.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Write new and update existing SEO-optimized and audience-centered content through research and data journalism to educate customers and build relationships with Freedom Mortgage as a brand.- Conduct research, leverage data and seek relevant perspectives to present content that is clear, accurate, insightful and meets regulatory requirements.- Learn and incorporate SEO best practices in all deliverables to ensure visibility and drive performance.- Ensure all content is properly sourced and fact checked before publication.- Understand the Freedom Mortgage brand voice, tone and style to provide content consistency across mediums.- Honor deadlines by following established production, workflow and quality control processes.- Awareness of industry-related news, AI tools, as well as content and SEO trends to keep deliverables current and relevant.- Comply with all company policies and procedures.- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Other Job Duties and Responsibilities: Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:- This position is an individual contributor.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- Prior work experience or university involvement (clubs, organizations, and athletics) preferred: in a writing capacity.- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail- Ability to research and write long-form articles on assigned mortgage or financial topics as well as pitch ideas for new and interesting angles.- Effective communicator with the ability to accept and implement feedback.- A willingness to learn SEO best practices.- Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in team and cross-functional settings in-person and remotely.- Professional, assertive and timely follow through skills- Ability to perform efficiently in a high-volume environment, both independently and as part of a teamEducation and/or Experience:- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree; Journalism, English, Economics, Communications- High School Graduate/GED- Less than One (1) year related work experienceCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Work Complexity:Addresses problems that are not immediately evident but typically not complex. Problems are typically within the immediate job area.
