Summary You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Inventory Control Department, Operations Directorate of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD. Responsibilities You will analyze, evaluate and revise command inventory in order to plan for command needs including technical supplies ranging from medical support materials through surgical support instruments and equipment. You will conduct analytical work in managing, regulating, coordinating, and exercising control over supplies, equipment, or other material. You will serve as the Shelf Life Manager, responsible for planning, development, SOP and policy promulgation and implementation for the shelf-life program. You will utilize research tools (i.e. SLES, SLEP, HAYSTACK, WEBFLIS, Medical Master Catalog, Medical Product Databank) to assist in material identification and to determine extension feasibility/standards. You will manage the most complex tasks and be expected to work independently to resolve multifaceted issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing shelf-life programs for pharmaceuticals, hazmat, and medical supplies. Experience managing materiel processes from intake to disposal under DoD regulations. Experience analyzing data in SLES, SLEP, HAYSTACK, WEBFLIS to decide on life-extension feasibility. Experience determining serviceability of materials based on condition, history, and risk. Experience leading and training teams on shelf-life & inventory control procedures. Experience writing and updating SOPs for shelf-life, hazard handling, and inventory workflows. Experience working with DoD agencies, contractors, and disposition sources for material extension or disposal. Experience preparing reports and communicating findings to leadership and stakeholders.
