Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Production Department, Expeditionary Medical Logistics Directorate, Naval Medical Readiness Logistics command (NMRLC) of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD. Responsibilities You will assist in identifying a variety of material returned in a used state missing packing and identifying labels such as surgical instruments. You will evaluate how modifications are performed and implemented, recommend new, revised, or improved policy related to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). You will keep record of materials or items received or distributed. You will assist Team Leads or other technical experts in the development of kit listing to assist in the ease of kit validation for outgoing/returned assets. You will utilize research tools (HAYSTACK, WEBFLIS, Medical Master Catalog, Medical Product Databank) to assist in material identification. You will select items for shipment or issue verifying or preparing documentation either manually or by using automated equipment. You will check lists showing stock identification changes to ensure that the proper items are selected and assembled for issue. You will use pallet measuring gages to ensure the proper heights and widths of pallet loads, and that shipments are properly loaded onto the right conveyances. You will perform preservation of material/equipment for long term storage or shipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds minimally. Experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) to include forklifts, manual pallet jacks, etc. Experience using functions such as logistics management (for example: pre-production, production, kitting, and material stowage). Experience working with Business Intelligence reports and Microsoft Excel. And experience analyzing large volume of data and translating the data to actionable tasks across multiple functional areas.
