Loan Processor - Support

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor to provide essential support in processing and closing loans. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring loans are managed efficiently, from initial documentation to post-closing review. This position is based in Newburgh, New York, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while honing your expertise in loan administration.

Responsibilities:

Order and manage personal and business credit reports, flood certifications, and necessary organizational checks.

Coordinate the ordering of appraisals, environmental reports, and pre- and post-closing searches to ensure compliance.

Verify tax transcripts against submitted tax returns and handle Form 4506 processing.

Set up and organize both electronic and physical folders for borrowers, ensuring all documentation is properly filed.

Input borrower information and financial data into loan origination and financial spreading software systems.

Draft Letters of Intent, Commitment Letters, and adverse action notices under supervision.

Monitor loan processing timelines by utilizing checklists and maintaining communication with attorneys, borrowers, and relationship managers.

Prepare legal documentation for loan closings and perform detailed post-closing reviews to ensure all records are complete and accurate.

Handle departmental administrative tasks such as reconciling general ledger accounts, approving vendor payments, and compiling management reports.

Assist in processing loans and preparing end-of-month summaries and other reports as needed. Requirements

Proven experience in loan administration, mortgage processing, or a related field.

Familiarity with loan origination and financial spreading software.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
