Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Beverly Hills, California. In this role, you will support various accounting functions, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and audits, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This is an on-site position requiring availability during office hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Process financial transactions, issue checks, and maintain accurate ledgers and budgets.

Reconcile credit card statements and merchant accounts while resolving discrepancies.

Enter and manage financial data in internal databases to maintain accurate records.

Assist in audit preparation, conduct fact-checking, and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization.

Communicate professionally with clients and vendors to address accounting-related inquiries.

Support additional accounting and administrative duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to perform detailed financial tasks and analysis.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with standards. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with relevant work experience.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical abilities.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Detail-oriented approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Resourceful, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
