Summary Position is assigned as the Supervisor Program Specialist (Enrollment Coordinator), for Enrollment, Eligibility, and Registries (S,EE&R) within the Health Administration Service (HAS). The primary responsibility encompasses three key functions which are: Facilitating all administrative aspects of the enrollment process; Health benefits eligibility determinations, and Related aspects of health benefits administration. Responsibilities Include but not limited to: Prepares reports and replies for Chief of HAS and Executive Leadership. Collection, compilation, research, and/or tracking of data and program information. Prepares verbal and written responses to inquiries and complaints of veterans and congressional staff regarding health care benefits. Assists in orientating and advising physicians, residents and interns on VA regulations, policies, and procedures as well as determination of legal next-of-kin. Maintains a suspense file with these alerts until the change is complete. Assisting veterans, non-veterans and beneficiaries seeking multiple medical treatment benefits. Daily analyzing of benefit utilization and implementing extensive body of VA and DoD regulations, rules, policies, procedures and practices associated with inpatient/outpatient activities. Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training. Evaluate work performance of subordinates. Develop performance standards. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/10/2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GA-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Perform daily monitoring by formulating data validation activities and analysis reports. Collection, compilation, research, and/or tracking of data and program information. Implementing communication and education activities to disseminate enrollment and health benefits eligibility information. Identify developmental and training needs of employees. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Coordinates inpatient/outpatient activities. Prepares and conducts public speaking presentations. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree; or, two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or, LL.B. or J.D. OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond 18 semester hours counting towards a master's degree.
