Pay Rate: $65-$70 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday 2-3 days in Office
Locations Available: Philadelphia, PA or Riverwood, IL
Position Type: Contract to Hire, base salary $140K plus STIP

What's a typical day as Accounting Manager? You'll be
Leading month-end close and reporting processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
Supervising and mentoring accounting staff, enhancing process quality and performance.
Reviewing, analyzing, and approving general ledger transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules on monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual cycles.
Proactively identifying and resolving accounting issues, providing solutions and recommendations.
Supporting internal and external audits, delivering documentation and professional responses.
Maintaining and updating desktop procedures, operational checklists, and process documentation.
Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and third-party providers.
Conducting independent analysis for process improvement and implementing recommendations..
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree is preferred.
Are a CPA or making progress toward certification (strongly preferred).
Have 7-9 years of accounting/audit experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial role.
Recently managed teams responsible for general ledger functions, including month-end close, journal entry review, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and audit support.
Possess proficiency in major ERP systems (SAP, Great Plains, NetSuite) and Blackline.
Have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
Can manage teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment, meeting accelerated close timelines (3-5 days).
Communicate effectively and collaborate across functions.
Have project management experience and flexibility to work hybrid hours.
