Key Accountabilities Conducts on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure conformance to contract documents. Oversees compliance with the requirements of permits or approvals granted for construction. Coordinate with permitting agencies for inspections and certifications of compliance. Represents the Water Company as the primary point of on-site contact for construction contractors. Serve as a liaison between construction contractors and the Water Company. Represents the Water Company as primary point of contact for customers when scheduling service line work on customers property and collecting water samples from the customer. Prepare project documentation in accordance with Company Standards. Maintains records of work changes and assists in preparation of "as built" records. Review and approval of construction contractor progress payments. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of engineering specifications and surveying principles. Knowledge of construction means and methods. Knowledge of federal and company safety regulations, and knowledge of critical path and method scheduling principles. Coordinating, scheduling and organizational skills. Ability to read engineering plans and specifications. Communication skills (e.g., verbal, listening and recording). Interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation).
