Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL) in the Engineering and Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will take the lead as tasked, with the identification, evaluation, and resolution of submarine, TRIPER, Radar, and NWORRC technical problems, and test and documentation deficiencies. You will manage, research, define test requirements and specifications (including drawings and sketches), evaluate and analyze data, and provide technical engineering reports to support and accomplish unrestricted operation program requirements. You will exercise a high degree of initiative, judgement, and resourcefulness in the organization, management, and coordination of activities concerned with performing submarine (SSBN) refits and industrial repairs. You will evaluate perceived TRIDENT submarine (and other class ships) design deficiencies to determine if the source of deficient conditions may result from inadequate Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and propose corrective actions as appropriate.
