Job Title: Laser Machine Operator

Job Description

This is an entry-level position for a Laser Machine Operator responsible for working on a laser machine that cuts wood to create rotary and flat dies. This opportunity is ideal for someone who sees this as a career path and is eager to learn machining.

Responsibilities

Operate the laser machine to make precise cuts on wood.

Lift and load wood (up to 75 lbs) into the machine.

Ensure measurements are accurate using a ruler.

Maintain the machine and report any issues.

Essential Skills

6+ months of Machine Operation experience.

Proficiency in using a ruler and taking measurements.

Basic computer and mechanical skills.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Trainable with a strong desire to learn.

Physical capability to lift 75 lbs regularly.

Work Environment

Work in a large, clean, and organized production shop with a pleasant smell of burning wood and glue. The facility is well-lit and temperature-controlled. You will be working on the second shift with about 20-25 people on the production floor. Training will be conducted earlier in the day, and you will be paid daily.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blaine, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
