Lead Software Engineer (Ruby)

This senior leadership role combines advanced frontend development expertise with system architecture skills to enhance loan acquisition platforms.

Working in a hybrid model from Baltimore, MD, Evansville, IN or Irving, TX, you'll drive modernization initiatives while providing technical guidance to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design scalable frontend architectures using Angular, JavaScript, and Ruby on Rails

Lead migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-native solutions (AWS/Kubernetes)

Develop and optimize GraphQL APIs for efficient data flow

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams

Provide technical mentorship while promoting engineering best practices

Enhance loan acquisition systems to improve lead generation and conversion

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience with frontend architecture focus

Strong proficiency in Angular, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL

Demonstrated success modernizing legacy systems to cloud environments

Experience with loan acquisition platforms and customer engagement strategies

Technical leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills

Nice to have

AWS certification

Docker/Kubernetes orchestration experience

CI/CD implementation knowledge

Agile development background
