This position serves as the administrative assistant to the Troop Commander, responsible for handling administrative matters related to and associated with the duties of the Troop Commander.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Administrative Assistant, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors. In this role, you will:
Draft, proofread, and distribute official communications, emails, and memos on behalf of the Troop Commander.
Organize and maintain the Troop Commander's calendar, including meetings, appointments, and events.
Maintain and update confidential files, reports, and records related to troop operations and personnel.
Prepare, compile, and distribute reports, presentations, and briefing materials as requested.
Act as a point of contact between the Troop Commander, law enforcement personnel, external agencies, and the public to facilitate communication and coordination.
Compile and @type special reports by selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, electronic files, etc.
Respond to requests for information; may require interpretation of department rules and regulations.
Prepare materials needed for meetings, such as agendas, handouts, binders, etc. May attend meetings and transcribe minutes. Maintains administrative liaison with other offices of the department.
Coordinate the maintenance of administrative personnel and general files for the Commander. Coordinates activities relating to conferences and meetings of interest to the Commander.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type:Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment.
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Location: This vacancy is located in Bossier Parish.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The bi-weekly rate for this position is listed below:
