Telecommunications OSP Construction Helper

Role Overview

As a Telecommunications Construction Helper, you'll gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing 5G space while supporting outside plant (OSP) construction crews. You'll work closely with team leads to ensure timely and efficient project completion across various client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with trenching, PVC pipe installation, cable and conduit runs

Handle and transport equipment and inventory

Mount and hang telecommunications hardware

Support lead technicians in daily field operations

Travel to job sites from the Perry Hall yard with crew

We welcome candidates who are new to the industry but bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Top Skills Details

1+ years of experience in OSP telecommunications construction (preferred)

Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical aptitude

Dependability and a strong work ethic

Additional Qualifications

Excellent listening and communication skills

Punctuality and ability to work in a team of four (Foreman, Operator, 2 Laborers)

Quick learner with initiative and retention skills

DOT clearance required

Work Environment

Outdoor fieldwork in varying weather conditions

If weather prevents site work, duties may shift to shop-based tasks or result in time off

Daily travel to cell sites with team; meet at Perry Hall yard each morning

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
