Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to support the Operating Unit Director and his staff in the Long Range Air Defense and Domestic Systems (LRAD & DS) Operating Unit (OU) and provide additional support to the broader OU onsite in Elkridge, MD .

Roles and responsibilities of Administrative Assistant 3 will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Providing administrative support to the OU Director and direct staff.
Schedule business meetings for senior management and coordinate the logistical support for the internal and external meetings. This includes ordering and setting up food for the attendees and post visit clean-up.
Interact with executives, administrative, and line management personnel to gather or convey relevant information.
Responsible for managing multiple conference room calendars, scheduling maintenance of business equipment, and ordering office supplies for multiple mail stops.
Maintain busy and dynamic calendars for multiple staff members and coordinate meetings, including customer visits, over a variety of locations and facilities.
Coordinate domestic and international travel and prepare expense reports with precision and accuracy dealing with international currencies.
Process and manage visa applications.
Procure material and supplies to support organization using corporate card and internal purchasing systems.
Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain professional demeanor and act with integrity with all levels of the organization.
Responsible for anticipating the needs of the leadership team in the planning of meetings, meeting prep, travel, inquirers, etc.
Assist with events and activities of major organization initiatives.
Ensure effective organization of administrative tasks.
Recommend new office procedures, processes, or techniques to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Initiate, obtain, and proofread information for weekly reports and special assignments.
Responsible for routine administrative duties including coordinating staff meetings and teleconferences.
Support other admin assistants as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years additional education and/or relevant professional experience.
Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
Experience coordinating Outlook calendars, conference calls, etc.
Experience interfacing with all levels of leadership, including executives, both internal and external, with autonomy.
Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events.
Experience with travel and expense reports.
Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
US Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active/Current Secret clearance.
Experience completing a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision.
Proactive, highly motivated and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and proven success in organizing, prioritizing, and completing assigned responsibilities.
Experience with travel and expense reporting.
Experience with SAP, Concur, Facilities requests, IBUY, etc.
Primary Level Salary Range: $51,900.00 - $86,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
