Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk with expertise in construction accounting (or a similar industry) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills? We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven professional to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Ontario, California. This is your opportunity to contribute to processes that keep operations running smoothly and to grow your career in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: 8am-5pm (overtime expected as needed)

Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Handle a high volume of invoices with precision and attention to detail.

Verification & Allocation: Verify invoice details and ensure the proper allocation of expenses across multiple entities.

Preliminary Notices & Releases: Manage key documentation associated with construction projects.

Excel Expertise: Create pivot tables, perform V-lookup functions, and use advanced features in Microsoft Excel to streamline financial data.

Account Reconciliation: Maintain accurate financial records through regular account reconciliations.

Check Runs: Coordinate check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.

Invoice Coding: Code invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Documentation Management: Keep records organized for compliance and audit readiness.

Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies in invoice data.

Adaptability: Thrive under changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction accounting and be highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel tools such as pivot tables and V-lookups. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic workflows are essential.

Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable, preferably in construction-related industries.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookup functions.

Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data.

Knowledge of preliminary notices and release processes.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication abilities for coordinating with multiple teams.

Capability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role.
