Your Responsibilities
Manage and enhance local marketing tools, resources, and education to enable hotel owners and operators to easily focus on local marketing.
Build strong relationships with owners' associations and franchisees to refine hotel programs and offerings.
Consult and offer marketing expertise to hotels in various life cycle stages, including new hotels ramping up.
Collaborate with various functional teams to amplify the success of marketing efforts, making a significant impact on the overall growth and performance of the organization.
Serve as a brand steward, ensuring the visual identity and tone of voice are consistently reinforced in all marketing activities.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred.
Master's degree in business is a plus, but not a requirement.
5-8 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, a franchised or multi-location organization.
Prior experience with the Upscale hotel segment / full-service hotels.
Prior experience in the hotel industry, specifically on property, is a plus, but not a requirement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products to create professional documents, analyze data, and generate presentational reports.
Knowledge of AI tools leading to efficiencies including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
Experience collaborating with vendor management and marketing agency partners.
Knowledge of digital and traditional media - channels, execution, monitoring & measurement.
Experience focusing on program(s) growth, monitoring and measuring performance.
Compassionate; demonstrates understanding of the franchisee perspective, while reinforcing brand integrity and strength.
Self-starter with minimal need for day-to-day direction and an internal?drive for results?attitude.
Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters.
Critical thinking and planning; ability to connect the dots holistically, anticipate what is needed, problem-solve and work to achieve results.
Ability to think outside of the box and innovate to achieve goals.
Creative and business writing abilities, including editing and proofing.
Public speaking, large and small groups.
Organized with strong attention to detail.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Field & Local Marketing. You will have 2 peer teammates and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Field and Local Marketing Manager, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we're located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $112,803 to $132,542 annually.
