Ruckus Networks a CommScope BU is looking for a Principal Devops Engineer to join our team in Richardson, TX.

How You'll help us connect the world:

Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization

Orchestrating Kubernetes clusters, including monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. Perform GKE cluster and Istio service mesh upgrade with no downtime in multi region environment. Develop automation scripts to perform releases, build verification and upgrade notification using Python, SQL, Docker and Go lang. Develop, test and deploy automation systems including Jenkins, Terraform, and Python/bash scripts to configure networks, security, policies, virtual machines, disk, storage buckets and Kubernetes clusters. Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure Responsible for capacity, and storage planning

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.

10+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experience

System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus

Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols

Experience with scripting and automation tools

A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols .

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $118,800.00-$153,300.00

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
