Forensic Engineer (PE)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Forensic, Professional Engineer to serve as a project lead, overseeing forensic investigations of motor vehicle collisions. This role involves conducting fieldwork, performing engineering analyses, managing Associate Engineers, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings to clients. The Professional Engineer will also provide expert testimony when required. This position requires frequent client interaction, regional travel, and a strong aptitude for both technical analysis and communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead forensic engineering projects, including field investigations, accident reconstruction, and technical analysis.

Supervise, mentor, and manage Associate Engineers on project-related assignments.

Apply advanced engineering principles, including use of 3D scanning, drones, and simulation software, to reconstruct vehicle accidents.

Prepare, review, and present technical reports with clear, compelling results for clients.

Testify as an expert witness in depositions and court proceedings when needed.

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong and professional relationships.

Ensure all work meets professional engineering standards, client expectations, and legal requirements.

Contribute to business development through high-quality client interactions and technical excellence.

Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development activities.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of engineering experience, including direct client-facing responsibilities.

Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.

B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).

Availability for regional travel.
