Description Job Title: CookDepartment: Food & Nutrition Location: Rochester General Hospital - 1425 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY 14621 Hours Per Week: 37.5Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:30 AM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with every 3rd weekend rotation SUMMARY:As a Cook, you provide the fuel that keeps our teams running and help meet the important nutritional needs of our patients.RESPONSIBILITIES:Food Preparation. Prepare food and baked goods following the daily assignments; maintain sufficient supplies of hot and cold foods for daily needs; assist Senior Cook in food preparation as requestedCustomer Service. Demonstrate excellent level of customer service, assist as needed and answer any questions to the best of your abilityDocumentation. Follow all departmental HAACP procedures including logging of all temperaturesSanitation. Ensure all equipment used is cleaned to code standards REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:None. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.2-4 years previous experience in related field preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $20.50 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
